Leave space above the hamper to open the lid. The inner bag is described as washable; that does not mean the entire bamboo-rim hamper is machine washable. Fold the empty outer body for storage and follow the supplied care instructions.
Close the fabric lid over laundry, then lift out the inner mesh bag when it is time to carry the contents to the washing area. The bamboo rim keeps the opening defined without a bulky rigid outer shell.
